Task 1 : Hike the Appalachian Trail The hike started from Springer Mountain, Georgia and ends on the summit of Mt Katahdin, Maine, covering 2,176 miles (3,502 km) and 14 states. It also ascends 89 miles (143 km), which is equivalent to climbing Mt Everest from sea level 16 times.

Task 2 : Bicycle the Great DivideThe route is based largely on the Adventure Cycling Organizations route, and covers 2,711 miles (4,362 km) from Banff, Canada to Antelope Wells, New Mexico, which borders with Mexico. However, I do not plan to go all the way to Antelope Wells, but turn west when I hit Silver City, New Mexico.
